    thunderbird-princ-KW
    [maple veneer]

    PRICE$80.00

V39x h 15 cm, 1mm thick Thunderbird with Killer Whale below. This is a very interesting example of Ron Solanas diverse approach to his art and to the materials he uses. Some come to him by accident and some are specifically selected. This acrylic painting is on an extremely thin sheet of maple veneer. It is very vertical in aspect, with a powerful thunderbird as the top figure, itself 15 centimetres long, with a Ĺ“princess enclosed in its wings. Just a few centimetres below, but stretching 15 centimetres down, is a muscular killer whale. It narrows dramatically at the start of the abdomen, across from the descending pectoral fin. This piece must be treated with great care, given how thin the veneer is, and it will make for a very imaginative framing approach. It will stand out whatever you do, and wherever you place the piece.
