    Eagle rushing through woods
    [acryl-ac-fre]

    PRICE$65.00

v 28 x h 21 cm In our mind's eye we often picture eagles soaring high above or perched on a high, exposed tree snag, but in reality they are very much birds of the forest as well. They nest in cedars or firs, they fly through the forests to reach the edges of rivers, or at those places of shore where the ocean meets the rivers --- where salmon live their four-year cycle of spawning. The eagles will be found scattered among the trees, now and then dropping to the shoreline to pick up a salmon. Or they go out past the surf to pluck a duck out of the water or grab a salmon swimming near the surface. The eagle's talons lock into place, and sometimes the eagles have a narrow escape in being able to pull themselves and their prey out of the water before their wings become waterlogged and flight becomes impossible.
