v28xh21 (v11"xh8") Garnet Tobacco always presents butterflies in their diaphanous, almost mystical form. This is a "schematized" blue butterfly, wafting along on a sky-blue background, with tiny multi-coloured half-butterfly, half-bird creatures in the background. Garnet Tobacco creates his pieces using sponges, with the details of a sweeping antenna done with brushes. The painting is relatively small piece, using acrylic paints on a rigid paperboard backing. Perfect for framing on its own, or as one of a collection of other small paintings available from the Indian Art gallery.
