    killer whale-raven fin

v43 x h35 cm (17" xh14") This is a new approach for Darrell Amos, compared to his usual portrayals of the Killer Whale and of Raven. At first it appears to be a single killer whale, eye, blowhole, pectoral fin and powerful flukes below. But looking more closely, it becomes apparent that the majestic dorsal fin is in actuality a portrait of Raven, the Trickster of lore and legend! It is facing upward, with its ovoid eye, its heavy beak, its tongue evident. This is a light-hearted, brilliant, charming painting by Darrell Amos. It is an excellent size to highlight a home or office wall. acrylic on artists paper, acid-free
