    blue bead headband=wrist strap
    [2 -items tog]

    PRICE$50.00

Because these two decorative beaded artworks could well be worn to the same event, complementing each other at wrist and forehead, they are offered together. The are created by Doe Sam, of Kwan Lun Dun First Nation, from Northern BC. She works largely on a small hand loom, beading a kind of repeating pattern which runs to the centre of a piece and then repeats it self in a kind of mirrored effect. The beading is then transferred using deer sinew to attach the beads firmly to the base of the bracelet. For security's sake, the wrist bank has an extra, soft piece of moose or deer-hide that the wearer can tie off to make sure no amount of movement will cause it to be lost. A very nice touch for cherishing this piece. Wrist bank is 19cm (8") long with straps extending from it. the head band is 29cm long (19"). Each are 3cm (1.45") wide.
