    eagle-wings up
    [yellow cedar]

    PRICE$125.00

v 29 x h 9 x 1.5 cm thk (v12 xh 4 x 1" thk) Jay Coutts has created a classic eagle, its wings upswept, its sturdy, feathered body and legs, its clearly defined tail. The eyes are sharp, the bill decidedly hooked. The piece is carved from yellow cedar. It is relatively small and will fit well on the wall in a "nook" in someone's study, or over a doorway -- bringing a feeling of strength and connection to generations of Northwest Coast Aboriginal art. The eagle has a light wood stain which is then given a wax coating which is buffed to a high sheen.
