    hummr-small-green
    [red cedar-gr]

    PRICE$40.00

v17xh6x1cmthk (v7"xh2.5"x.5"thck) Len McKay has created another one of his charming, distinctive hummingbirds. This one is small, but very striking. It's body and head are a deep forest green, with the wings, beak/tongue and a body segment equally deep red. The acrylic paint is then treated with a brown shoe polish stain - using only the best quality shoe polish, one of the few that has genuine wax as one of its main components -- to give the colours a richness, which is complemented by a brisk buffing with a brush. This small piece would be set off beautifully with one of its "sister" pieces from Len McKay, or suspended in a box frame (or a small window).
