    barn swallow
    [acrylic/acid]

    PRICE$240.00

V50xh66 cm (v20in xh26in) Anyone who has seen barn swallows swooping through the air will be able to identify with this large, almost mystical painting by Garnet Tobacco. It almost soars off the paper! The russet throat, the gaping mouth ready to net any insects in its darting, diving path, the long tail feathers, the crescent wing tips -- all are here, enriched by the magic of Garnet Tobacco's talents. As with his other works, the painting is done using sponges for the larger parts of the figure, with brushes used for delineating lines, wing-tips, etc. A bright sun illuminates the picture as a whole. Acrylic on 111 pound acid-free artists paper.
