    eagle-2-sun-small
    [acrylic on p]

    PRICE$80.00

(v28xh21 (v11"xh8") This is one of a series of three small jewels of portraits of creatures of the air. Created by Garnet Tobacco, of Cree heritage, this is a dramatic portrayal of two eagles, soaring in thermal currents, generated by the warmth of the sun at the horizon. There is ocean, or perhaps the surface of Mother Earth, occupying the lower quadrant of the piece. As with all of his work, Garnet Tobacco uses sponges to apply the acrylic paint, achieving a delicate yet strong impression of his creatures of the air. The piece is on paperboard, which is rigid and readily framed.
