    curve-fin killer whale -cedar
    [original on ]

    PRICE$149.00

Darrel Amos brings his Haida tradition of the close relationship to the forests and the sea in this killer whale image, painted in acrylics on a cedar plank. The grain of the cedar is parallel to the overall direction of the killer whale, and they appear to be working together to show the continual the whale’s movement. The teeth of the whale, its slightly tipped dorsal fin, its flippers, fluke and blowhole, are all clearly set out in an integrated and beautiful whole. V7” x H16” X ¼” thick. 176 grams.
