    Tree Frogs
    [limited edit]

    PRICE$63.00

Eric Parnell, of the Haida Nation, has created one of his flowing portrayals of a little seen, but often heard tree frog. These frogs are also called chorus frogs, given their penetrating croaking trill. They are generally found in southwest British Columbia but have been introduced into Haida Gwaii, ancestral home of the Haida. Frogs in Haida tradition appear in many stories of the Haida, with the central theme being their intelligence, and their bridging between various spiritual and concrete worlds, just as they can live in water and on land. In this limited edition print, Eric Parnell has the frogs engaged in a kind of circle game as their tongues sweep out to capture fleeing insects. Their bodies are crouching in anticipation, their eyes wide open, their tongues touching. It is a lovely and engaging image, which rewards long and repeated viewing. Limited Edition, 11 of 100. V13” x 13”, high quality print paper, acid-free. 28 grams.
